•Double-Paned Glass
The S1’s glass body is made out of double-paned high quality borosilicate glass with a thickened crystal bottom. We use borosilicate due to its low thermal expansion coefficient and because it can be used at relatively high temperatures.
•Bamboo Lids
Our lids have a three-part construction: Bamboo outer shell, recyclable grade #5 polypropylene cap, and a silicone sealing ring. The outside of our lids are made of 100% bamboo material. We wanted to make sure that it wasn’t the same poor lower grade quality plastics that contains Bisphenol A (BPA) chemical. We manufacture the caps to out of Recyclable Grade #5 Polypropylene material. This is one of the highest quality grades of plastics that don’t leak harmful chemicals and can also be found in other applications such as: baby bottles, sippy cups and cutting boards.
•18/8 Stainless Steel Filter
Our strainers are made out of high quality 18/8, food-grade stainless steel – a metal with superior strength, superior heat resistance, and superior corrosion resistance. More importantly, 18/8 stainless steel is free of harmful chemicals and toxins. All bottles are equipped with an 18/8 Stainless Steel Tea Strainer. The Strainer includes precision net casting perfect for loose leaf tea and a pure drinking experience. The Tea Strainer also features a moveable handle and a “click” in place feature for ease of use.
